TEHRAN, Jan. 18 (MNA) – Members of the European Parliament on Tuesday in a hostil move called on the EU to put Iran's IRGC on the bloc's terrorist list.

The European Parliament held a session on Wednesday during which the members called on the bloc to put the IRGC on the terrorist list.

The EU MPs voted in favor of a proposal to the European Union.

Accordingly, this proposal was approved with 598 yes votes, 9 against and 31 abstentions.

The approvement is not binding.

Iran has already warned the European Union against the move.

The Iranian interior minister Ahmad Vahidi said on Wednesday that the EU's attempt to put the Iranian IRGC on its terrorist list shows the Europeans' apex of desperation and ignorance, stressing that labeling the Iranian force will not affect its anti-terror campaign.
