TEHRAN, Jan. 16 (MNA) – A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 jolted the Izu Islands in Japan on Monday.

A magnitude-6.3 earthquake hit the Izu Islands in Japan, at a depth of 409.1 kilometers, the US Geological Survey said on Monday.

The epicenter, with a depth of 409.088 km, was initially determined to be at 29.0005 degrees north latitude and 139.3466 degrees east longitude.
