TEHRAN, Aug. 24 (MNA) – In the last days of his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran outlined his future plans.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote, "After four decades of diplomacy, I move on to full-time teaching and research."

"I'll continue to pursue and promote global understanding and encourage "positive-sum" dialogue—based on empathy, mutual respect and equal footing. Looking forward to continuing the exchange of views," he added.
