TEHRAN, May 30 (MNA) – Iranian Presidential candidate Abdolnaser Hemmati on Sunday vowed to curb the rampant inflation rate if being selected.

In his press conference on Sunday, he vowed to decrease the inflation rate down to eight percent to 12 percent.

"If we can not curb the inflation rate, we would not be able to control forex rates either," he said.

Hemmati who was serving as the governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) was dismissed by President Rouhani on Sunday.
