TEHRAN, May 04 (MNA) – A metro train bridge has collapsed in the Mexican capital, claiming the lives of at least 15 people and wounding up to 70, according to the local authorities.

According to preliminary reports, medics and emergency services have already been dispatched to the site of the incident, while the head of the Mexico City government Claudia Sheinbaum has arrived on the scene, Sputnik reported.

The incident occurred on Tuesday on Line 12 of the metro, near the stations of Tezonco and Olivos in the southeastern part of the city. 

Videos and photos from the scene of the accident are circulating on social media, showing the scale of destruction.
