TEHRAN, May 26 (MNA) – Iranian Embassy in Brasilia has provided food packages for the needy people in line with the efforts to help contain the novel coronavirus pandemic in the South American country.

The packages have been distributed among the needy by the Embassy to show Iran’s solidarity with the Brazilian nation in the fight against the pandemic.

More than 5.6 million of people have contracted the novel coronavirus so far, of whom 348,000 have died.

Brazil has recorded the second-highest number of infections, with more than 376,00 cases and over 23,500 deaths.
