TEHRAN, Nov. 04 (MNA) – The spokesperson of Iranian Foreign Ministry Seyyed Abbas Mousavi announced on Monday that Iran has not asked for the creation of a consular service through the Swiss Embassy, who represent US interests in Tehran.

Mousavi denied the whole idea, reacting to a reported published by Wall Street Journal on November 3, in which an unnamed US official was quoted as saying that Iran has recently asked for the creation of a consular service through the Swiss, who represent US interests in Tehran.

The quoted US official claimed that the consular service could be used to facilitate negotiations over prisoner swaps.
