Kharrazi made the remarks on Thursday, in a meeting with Austrian political figures and elites in Austria.
During the meeting, attended by the chairman of Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi, former defense and interior ministers, a number of Austrian and European parliamentarians and heads of political and international research institutes of Austria, regional issues and the ties between Iran and Europe were examined.
The current and former political and academic figures of Austria discussed the issues of Syria, Iraq, Yemen and the relations between Iran and Europe, as well as the effects of sanctions on Iran's economy.
They also studied the ways by which Iranian government can face these developments.
"Despite current problems, which are mainly imposed by US sanctions, Iran's society stands united against the pressure and tries to resort to domestic resources and facilities, as well as the help of friend countries and the European mechanism to overcome them," Kharrazi noted.
