The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif rejected on Monday the news that the Iranian ambassador had been expelled from Denmark, saying “the news by no means was true and the Iranian ambassador has not been expelled.”
Zarif noted that Iran had conveyed its concerns to Denmark over sheltering the terrorists on their soil, saying the presence of the terroristson Denmark soil is not acceptable for Iran.
He further noted the Israeli Mossad was behind the incident in Denmark (the alleged assassination attempt), adding the Israeli regime's intelligence service was also behind the recent arrests made in relation to the claims.
The Iranian foreign minister expressed his Ministry’s readiness to help Danish authorities to discover the truth, adding “we have to wait and see to what extent the Danish want to adhere to their international obligations.”
Last week, the Danish intelligence chief Finn Borch Andersen accused Iran of a failed ‘assassination attempt’ in his country.
