TEHRAN, Nov. 04 (MNA) – Javad Azari Jahromi, Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology, pointed to the development of cooperation and attracting other countries' support for Iran in international community as the main areas for negotiations with the members of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT).

Jahromi, who traveled to Dubai to attend the 2018 TU Plenipotentiary Conference on November 1, said "some good news is coming up from the event, which will be announced soon."

Jahromi said he met with the secretaries of the World Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), ministries of communications from the neighboring countries, as well as ministers and delegations from Southeast Asia and the African countries.

The International Telecommunication Union, originally the International Telegraph Union, is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) that is responsible for issues that concern information and communication technologies.
