KASHIMA, Nov. 03 (MNA) – Iran’s Perspolis conceded a defeat to Japan’s Kashima Antlers in 1st leg of AFC Champions League final contest on Saturday.

In a match held at Kashima Stadium, the Japanese team gained a 2-0 victory.

Alipour had a great chance to find the net at the 4th minute of the game in the box but his ball hit the face of a Kashima defender.

The first half ended 0-0 with both teams having some opportunities to score.

Kashima Antlers showed a better quality in the second half and had a better control over the game. Leo Silva scored the first goal for the Japanese side at 58th minute from outside the box. The team maintained the pressure and made another score at 70th minute by Serginho.

The second leg of the final will be held at Tehran-based Azadi Stadium on November 10.
