TEHRAN, Oct. 28 (MNA) – Iranian men and women athletes collected five gold medals at the 9th edition of Sanda World Cup, underway in Hangzhou, China.

In women’s 52kg category, Elaheh Mansouriyan who had defeated Brazil’s Edinea Prado Camargo yesterday, gained another victory over an Algerian rival in the final on Sunday and won the gold medal.

Farinaz Naziri, in women’s 75kg category, earned the gold medal for her country after defeating rivals from Russia and Egypt.

Mohsen Mohammadseifi, the four-time world champion, added another gold to its collection in men’s 70kg category. He outplayed Bouabid Abdelhadi of Algeria before winning Egypt’s Ayman Galal Fathy in the final.

And Milad Arefi Magham, the 2017 world champion, reclaimed its title after winning Omar Mamdouh Ali of Egypt in the final bout. Earlier he had overpowered India’s Rajinder Singh.

Earlier on Saturday, Shahrbano Mansouriyan had gained Iran’s first gold of the event in women's 65kg category.

The 9th edition of Sanda World Cup kicked off in China on Saturday and it wraps up today.
