“International relations is not a beauty pageant, with tired clichés about a desire for World Peace,” Mohammad Javaz Zarif has tweeted to remind the US President Donald Trump not to confuse the world of politics with that of business.
Then, the Iranian foreign minister reminded Trump, who had claimed in a recent tweet that he was imposing ‘the most biting sanctions’ on Iran for world peace by saying “it is not the first time that a warmonger claims he is waging war for world peace.”
Zarif lambasted the US hostile foreign policy, noting “tantrums and CAPPED TWEETS won’t change the fact that the world is sick and tired of US unilateralism.”
He went on to lash out at troublesome tweets saying “stopping US trade and killing 100,000 US jobs is fine with us, but the world won’t follow impulsive tweeted diktats. Just ask EU, Russia, China and dozens of our other trading partners.”
