The drones’ team of the Air Force of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran competes with the representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China and Pakistan in the field of hand-launched remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicle.
The event consists of nine different stages and the team which can grab the most total points will clinch the title.
In the first stage, teams competed in preparing the drones, gaining the height of 100 and 200 meters, flying the distance of one kilometer, and landing in the determined location and time.
The second stage consisted of identifying five targets on the ground and taking photos from three different angles.
The Iranian squad, comprising of nine participants and seven drones, has so far showed great performance and is among the top teams.
International Army Games 2018 is underway in seven host countries of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Iran, Azerbaijan and Armenia and will run through August 12.
