TEHRAN, Aug. 03 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who traveled to Singapore to attend 51st session of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), met with Singaporean president and foreign minister on Friday morning and held talks on the bilateral and regional issues.

In his meeting with Singaporean Minister of Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan, Zarif conferred on the mutual ties, regional and international issues briefly.

Iranian foreign minister also conferred with Singapore President Halimah Yacob and termed as  ‘good and constructive’, bilateral ties between Iran and Singapore

For her part, Singaporean president pointed to the amicable ties between Iran and Singapore and placed special emphasis on maintaining and expanding bilateral relationship in all fields.

The two sides also held talks on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran’s nuclear title, regional and international issues particularly.  

51st session of ASEAN Foreign Ministers kicked off on Monday in Singapore and will wrap up its work tomorrow.

Singapore holds the periodical presidency of 51st ASEAN meeting.
