The Iranian official made the remark in a meeting with Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon Nabih Berri on Monday in Beirut.
His visit is part of President Rouhani’s initiative for sending messages to leaders of friendly countries through envoys to outline Iran’s positions after the US withdrawal from the nuclear agreement on May 8.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has been holding extensive talks with JCPOA partners in the past few months, and will continue its compliance with the deal as long as the other sides to the agreement provide the necessary conditions to ensure Iran’s full access to JCPOA’s benefits,” said Jaberi Ansari in the meeting with the Lebanese parliament speaker.
Jaberi Ansari also informed Nabih Berri on the extensive political and diplomatic efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to reach a political solution to Syrian and Yemeni crises, and called for expansion of intraregional relations and cooperation.
Nabih Berri, for his part, voiced support for Iran’s constructive efforts to reach an agreement with JCPOA partners, describing Rouhani’s move to send special envoys to countries across the world as “timely” and “wise”.
He also stressed the need for settling regional crises, particularly in Yemen, as soon as possible.
