Speaking in a meeting attended by economic activists and foreign representatives of Iran in Tehran Chamber of Commerce, held on Monday to examine the solutions to deal with new sanctions, Zarif said France, Britain, Germany, China and Russia have clearly announced their support for the international agreement after the United States’ illegal withdrawal from JCPOA.
Foreign minister added that the three European Union countries as well as China and Russia during various meetings with Iran, all have considered the compensation for the damages suffered by Iran after the US's withdrawal from the JCPOA. EU Chief Mogherini's statement has also proved this very well, he noted.
“Our partners have pledged that Iranian oil sale will remain untouched at the current rate, based on the transportation, banking relationships and economic issues that are included in the agreement; “political will remains for active presence in the Islamic Republic of Iran despite pressures imposed by the US.”
He ensured that the world will make political decisions based on the Rule of Law, however, the ability of different countries to counteract US bullying behavior is still an unanswered question.
“We have retained the right of withdrawal from JCPOA, however, our choice is to reach a solution with the remaining members; Iran has filed a complaint with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday to hold the US accountable for its unlawful re-imposition of unilateral sanctions,” Zarif noted.
