“The experience of Iran in negotiating with US demonstrates that Washington is not committed to its words and the documents it signs,” said the Head of Iran’s Foreign Policy Strategic Council Kamal Kharrazi.
He made the remarks on Monday on the sidelines of the 7th edition of the World Peace Forum in Beijing.
“Iran has negotiated with US in two cases- once for Afghanistan and once for the nuclear issue- but Washington did not deliver on its commitments in both cases,” he said.
He argued that there is no need for American intervention and negotiation with US in order to solve regional problems. “Foreigners should put an end to interventions, and the main actors in the region enter into dialogue and resolve issues themselves.”
“If the countries of the region ask for help from US in their international dialogue, the direction of the issues will change and the interests of those countries will be at risk,” he underlined.
