TEHRAN, Jul. 1 (MNA) – Iranian diplomat Esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh has been appointed as the country’s new diplomatic mission to United Nations Office at Geneva.

Proposed by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani approved his appointment as new mission of Iran to United Nations Office in Geneva.

Baghaei was a member of Iran’s diplomatic team in 5+1 talks, and has served as the secretary of JCPOA implementation committee in Iran’s Foreign Ministry.

He has also has the experience of working in Iran’s mission to the United Nations in New York, being the Vice-Chairman of the Sixth Committee of UN General Assembly.
