He placed special emphasis on increasing gasoline production in terms of quality and quantity and said, “with the coordination made in this regard, ‘euro 4’ gasoline will be produced in Abadan Refinery" as a new policy for the refinery.
A signifciat portion of gasoline production in this refinery should meet the requirements of ‘euro 4’ standards, he said, adding, “in the same direction, alkylate gasoline production volume will hit 2.5 million liters per day.”
The deputy oil minister further hoped that the construction of the second phase of the refinery will be accelerated.
Daily gasoline production volume in Abadan Refinery has currently rose from 9.5 million liters to about 12 million liters, showing a considerable hike as compared to the previous years.
Abadan Refinery is one of the oldest refineries in the country, and needs to undergo renovations, he said.
