TEHRAN, Jun. 20 (MNA) – Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, heading a high-ranking delegation, has departed for Belgium to take part at the 2nd International Iran-Europe Economic and Technological Conference.

The 2nd International Iran-Europe Economic and Technological Conference will be held on June 21-22, 2018 in Brussels with the aim of countering fears of doing business with Iran after the US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

US controversy has led many European companies to take precautionary measures in working with Iran especially after Trump pulled out of Iran nuclear deal.

The conference, under the theme of “New Horizon”, will bring together Iranian and European officials to discuss ways for expansion of bilateral cooperation in the areas of technology, energy, national resources, etc.

Sattari will be one of the key speakers at the opening of the conference.

The first edition of the conference was held three years ago in Austrian capital Vienna.
