TEHRAN, May 24 (MNA) – Mahtab Nabavi, the Iranian para taekwondo practitioner, has won the first medal for Iran at 4th Asian Para Taekwondo Open Championships.

Mahtab Nabavi at -49kg lost the match to a para taekwondo practitioner from India 29 to 9 and stood on the third place. She finally collected a bronze medal for the Iranian team.

The Iranian teakwondoka had to compete at a different category because there were not any practitioners present in the competions at her own class.

The 4th Asian Para Taekwondo Open Championships started today May 24 in Hochiminh City, Vietnam and will continue until May 28, 2018.
