“The number of our joint training courses with China has increased and we have made more serious decisions to take action in the war on terrorism and drug trafficking and countering the security threats of the two countries,” said Iranian Deputy Interior Minister for Security and Law Enforcement Hossein Zolfaghari.
The Iranian official made the remarks on Monday during meeting with Chinese Deputy Public Security Minister for Counter-Terrorism Liu Yuejin in Tehran.
The two officials also signed a security Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Iran and China.
Pointing to bilateral cooperation between Iran and China in the fields of fighting narcotics, terrorism and organized crimes, Mr. Zolfaghari added that such cooperation has also increased in the field of cybercrimes.
Liu Yuejin, for his part, called the bilateral meetings a success for both sides, especially in the field of fighting against international crimes.
He said that through such cooperation the two sides are taking an effective step forward in the fight against terrorism and international crimes.
