TEHRAN, Dec. 15 (MNA) – Iranian Ambassador to Jordan Mojtaba Ferdosipour condemned US move in relocating its embassy to Jerusalem and called for a solid measure by the Islamic world against occupations of the Zionist regime.

Mojtaba Ferdosipour, Ambassador of Iran to Jordan, met with Speaker of the Senate of Jordan, H.E. Mr. Faisal Al-Fayez, in Amman.

At the meeting, Iran’s envoy, while describing stances of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards regional developments, condemned the actions of the US President Donald Trump in moving the American embassy to al-Quds.

He later emphasized the need for solidarity among Muslim countries and decisive steps by the Islamic world against the usurper Israeli regime.

Ferdosipour also praised Jordan’s position in support of the Palestinian issue, especially in safeguarding of Islamic sanctities.

Also at the joint meeting, Faisal Al-Fayez, Head of the Jordanian Senate, stressed that US moves were against international treaties and reconciliation processes and called for Islamic solidarity in support of Palestine.

The two sides at the meeting further emphasized the need for development of parliamentary cooperation between Tehran and Amman as well as unity of Islamic religions.
