TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) – The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Larijani said on Sunday that if Arab counties do not take actions against recognizing al-Quds as Israeli capital by the US administration now, they will be held responsible by their own people.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that “none of the recent developments has been as unpleasant as the recognition of al-Quds Jerusalem as the Israeli capital to the Muslims,” adding, “even US friends have denounced this abusive and irrational act.”

In his speech at the Parliament, before the arrival of the president to hand over his government budget bill for the next Iranian fiscal year, Larijani noted that the US took that stance in coordination with some Arab and Muslim countries in the region and continued that “if these Arab and Muslim countries do not separate their path from the US, they will face with their own people.”

Later in his speech, he continued "the Islamic countries are expected to form a united front against the United States and to take practical measures against the United States, so that the United States does not dare to adopt stances like recognition of al-Quds as the Israeli capital in the future again."

He also expressed his condolences over the death of the climbers who lost their lives in an avalanche.
