TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) – Iranian athlete Saeedreza Keikha landed second at Toyota International Gymnastics Competition held in Japan.

On pommel horse, Saeedreza Keikha, the only Iranian gymnast in the prestigious competition, finished second (14.275/6.1) overall and won silver medal.

In the same division, Japan’s Takaaki Sugino, 19, won the gold medal (14.850/6.6) over Iran’s Keikha. while 2013 world champion Kohei Kameyama won the bronze (14.025/6.1).

Keikha, 29, turned in the top international result for Iranian gymnastics last year with the bronze medal on pommel horse at the Baku World Challenge Cup.

Prior to the 4th edition of Islamic Solidarity Games in the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku, the Iranian athlete had pocketed a bronze medal at the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) games in Azerbaijan.

The two-day international sportive event concludes Sunday at Tokyo’s Sky Hall Toyota with the remaining events.
