The president of Tozeur International Festival of Poetry said that poets from Africa, Asia, Europe and America have attended the festival and added “this year, the festival represents a collage of poetic voices from around the world.”
“This literary event has achieved world renown and we are determined to hold it regularly despite financial difficulties,” he went on.
He named some of the famous poets attending the festival among whom the two Iranian poets Alireza Qazveh and Mousa Bidaj are noticeable.
Tozeur International Festival of Poetry was launched in 1981. In its initial years, it only featured Arab poets. From 2011, however, it turned into one of the biggest international festivals of poetry. “Poetry and ambiguity” is the main topic of Tozeur International Festival of Poetry which is held from 23-26 November, in Tozeur, Tunisia.
