TEHRAN, Nov. 06 (MNA) – Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Ghasemi, said “allegations made against Iran in the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen are unjust, irresponsible, damaging and provocative.”

Pointing to the years-long war crimes and transgressions against Yemen, he called the measures taken by Yemen as independent reactions, the cause of which should be sought in Saudi Arabia’s violations.

“Saudis who have not been able to achieve their goals through long term military wars and violations, made baseless, false and totally untrue allegations through simple-minded psychological warfare, thereby complicating the situation further for their failed coalition.

We highly recommend them to stop attacking innocent, defenseless Yemeni people instead of making empty accusations against others, and open the way for peace negotiations in Yemen,” he added.

Through a statement issued on Sunday, the Saudi-led coalition accused Iran of involvement in a Yemeni missile strike on the king Khalid international airport in northeastern Riyadh.
