TEHRAN, Nov. 05 (MNA) – Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan, the former Iranian Defense Minister who is now Leader's adviser in defense industries, said the Zionist regime, with the experience of the 33-day war, will certainly not dare invade Lebanon.

Israel’s 33-day war on Lebanon began with the Israeli army launching airstrikes against Lebanese cities as well as the positions of the resistance movement Hezbollah.

Speaking on the sidelines of a ceremony on Sunday, Hossein Dehghan pointed to the resignation of Lebanese PM Saad Hariri in Saudi Arabia to create tensions in Lebanon and the possibility of Israel's entry into the war with Hezbollah, and said the Zionist regime, with the experience of a 33-day war, would certainly not dare invade Lebanon.

"Of course, no one expects anything but making crimes from a criminal, especially the Zionist regime, which has planted the seed of crime in the Muslim world," he noted.

General Dehghan highlighted the Americans' misunderstanding and wrong interpretation in the region as one of their mistakes, and emphasized that the wave of Islamic awakening in all countries of the region has targeted the presence of the Americans and their agents in the region.
