TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (MNA) – Intelligence Ministry forces have dismantled two international drug trafficking networks in Kerman, southeast of Iran.

The members of these two networks had crossed into the Iranian soil from Sistan and Baluchistan borders and desert areas. The Intelligence Ministry forces were quick to identify and dismantle the organized and armed trafficking cartels in two separate operations.

Over two tons of narcotics including opium and hashish, as well as four weapons were discovered and seized from the dismantled networks. Four people were also arrested.

The smugglers transported the drugs with the help of escort cars equipped with smoke screen systems. During the operations, five cars and two forged license plates were sized by intelligence forces.
