TEHRAN, Oct. 23 (MNA) – The second edition of Paytakht Cup International Chess Festival will kick off on Tuesday in Tehran with participation of domestic and foreign chess players.

A total of 430 players from Iran and fifteen other countries are expected to take part at the upcoming chess tournament in the Iranian capital.

The event marks the largest chess tournament to be held in Iran in the ongoing year.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to convene tomorrow with President of Chess Federation of Islamic Republic of Iran in attendance. The chess cup will last for as long as nine days.
