TEHRAN, Oct. 16 (MNA) – Iran welcomes the results of elections in Austria and Kyrgyzstan, said Iranian FM Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi, voicing Iran’s willingness to expand ties more than ever.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes the outcome of the presidential election in Kyrgyzstan and is ready to broaden relations with Kyrgyzstan more than ever,” reiterated Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesperson of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Monday, when asked by news reporters to comment on presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan.

The same question was also posed upon him about the parliamentary election in Austria which ended on Sunday with the victory of the conservative People’s Party (OVP), headed by Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz, won 31.7% of the vote, according to the preliminary official results.

“Austria and more specifically Mr. Kurz were the main hosts of the negotiations with 5+1 which led up to brokering the JCPOA and played a major role in the success of the talks,” said Mr. Ghasemi, “we hope that in the new era, under his leadership, the relations between the two countries witness an all-out growth and advancement.”
