TEHRAN, Sep. 24 (MNA) – The vice president of Iran’s Pasteur Institute announced the country’s readiness to export two vaccines.

Referring to the country’s vaccine productions, Houman Kaghazian, the head of Pasteur Institute of Iran stated that vaccine production is vital for society’s health care and the prevention of diseases.  

According to Kaghazian, the institute is in talks to export Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis vaccines to other countries. Concerning the negotiations, he said “we have sent documents and samples to foreign countries. If the products are approved, they will send agents to visit the production site of the vaccines.”

The head of biotechnology development center of Vice Presidency for Science and Technology pointed out that the foreign agents have already visited the sites and went on to add “following approval, we can begin the exports.”

As stated by Kaghazian, the country’s target is to be among the top ten producers of vaccine in the world by 2035.
