TEHRAN, Sep. 05 (MNA) – Head of President’s Office Mahmoud Vaezi stressed Iran's resolve for expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan Republic in a telephone conversation on Tuesday.

Mahmoud Vaezi made the remark in a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev on Tuesday, while hailing the good progress achieved in the two countries' bilateral relations in the past four years of President Rouhani’s first-term in office.

Vaezi further called for expediting the implementation of joint projects and previously agreed-upon plans between the two sides.

For his part, Shahin Mustafayev, who also chairs Iran-Azerbaijan joint economic commission, praised the two countries’ efforts in expanding bilateral relations in the past four years, voicing hope for further development of Tehran-Baku cooperation during President Rouhani’s second term in office.

He further expressed his country’s resolve to implement the signed agreements with Iran as soon as possible and to launch new projects with the Islamic Republic to improve bilateral ties.
