The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday between Hamidreza Momeni, Managing Director of Qeshm Free Trade Zone as well as CEO of Ouj Fuel Supply and Airport Services Company Ali Harandi.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Momeni said the cooperation agreement can turn the southern Iranian Island to a venue for offering fuel and airport services to all aircraft passing through the international corridor of the plane.
He underlined that Ouj company was Iran's only international private company in the field which is also active at Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA).
The official said Qeshm Free Trade Zone said issues like airport services, supply and maintenance of equipment and marketing, along with use of expert human resources, were commitments that are consistent with the country’s macro policy of paying due attention to capable nongovernmental sectors within framework of Resistance Economy.
Hamidreza Momeni said, under the terms of the MoU, his organization was responsible to provide facilities and advertisements in the coming three months though the agreement can be extended upon request of the two sides.
The development plan of Qeshm International Airport can host the world’s largest airplanes. In the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 20), over 504 thousand passengers were transferred through 2,774 flights from the airport in the Iranian Island.
