TEHRAN, Aug. 22 (MNA) – The 3rd Maritime Security Symposium is to be held in Bali, Indonesia, this week with participation of Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari.

The three-day event will host representatives from 54 countries, including Iran’s Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari which heads a high-ranking military delegation.

The Indonesian Navy is hosting the Maritime Security Symposium aiming to discover the challenges facing good order at sea, as well as introducing the areas of cooperation between countries to build a multilateral maritime security framework.

This round of symposium, entitled 'Maritime Cooperation for a Good Sea Order', will host 11 navy commanders from Iran, Malaysia, Australia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, East Timor, Nigeria, Portugal, Myanmar, Mozambique and Saudi Arabia.

On the sidelines of the symposium there will be bilateral meetings between naval commanders of different countries, and they will consult on developing bilateral cooperation and maritime security. Different exhibitions of naval capabilities will also be held during the three-day event.
