TEHRAN, Aug. 05 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani met with counterparts from Malaysia, Ghana, Tanzania, Zanzibar and Madagascar on Friday to examine ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation.

In a meeting with the Speaker of Malaysian Parliament Pandikar Amin Mulia, Larijani hailed the country for its active participation in recent conference on Palestine in Tehran, saying the Zionist Regime is after disrupting al-Quds population. 

Pointing to terrorist and security crises in the region, Larijani said the region is in a chaos as regards security and some countries do nothing to solve it. 

Amin Mulia, for his part, referred to positive relations between Iran and Malaysia, saying Malaysia has always stood by Iran in Palestine issue and other issues related to Islamic World.

Larijani also met with Ghana Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, during which they underlined the need for promoting trade and industrial cooperation between Iran and Ghana.

Larijani voiced Iran’s interest to foster commercial, educational, industrial and agricultural relations with Ghana.

Bawumia also pointed to positive and long-standing relations between the two countries and hailed Iran’s rich civilization as well as its breakthroughs in science, hoping for interactions between the two countries in the fields of trade, particularly in oil, gas, steel, agriculture and housing sectors.

In a meeting with Speaker of Tanzania National Assembly Job Ndugai, Larijani also expressed Iran's readiness to give technical and engineering aids to Tanzania.

Ndugai, for his part, said promoting ties between friendship groups and exchanging experiences between parliaments will develop the level of relations.

Iranian Parliament speaker also received Speaker of Zanzibar House of Representatives Zubeir Ali Maulid, First Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda Moses Ali and Madagascar parliament Speaker Jean Max Rakotomamonjy on Friday.

The sides stressed enhancing bilateral ties due to the huge potential for expansion of mutual relation.

Larijani voiced Iranian companies' readiness to cooperate with Madagascar in energy, petrochemicals, home appliances, medical, agricultural as well as tourism arenas. 

Since late on Wednesday, diplomatic delegations, representatives, presidents, and prime ministers from around the world are arriving in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Rouhani and met with Iranian senior officials.
