TEHRAN, Aug. 03 (MNA) – The endorsement ceremony for president-elect Hassan Rouhani two days ahead of his final swearing-in ceremony started at Imam Khomeini Hussainia in Tehran.

Hassan Rouhani won second term as Iran’s 12th president on May 19, and needs to gain the approval of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution before he takes office.

Interior Minister of the 11th government, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, will first present a report on the 12th presidential election, followed by a reading of Rouhani’s validation order by Mohammadi Golpayegani, Head of Ayatollah Khamenei’s Office.

The ceremony will be followed by a speech from President Rouhani and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei.

The ceremony is attended by heads of the three branches and the president-elect, cabinet ministers, members of parliament, members of the Guardian Council, judiciary officials, senior military and police commanders, political, social and cultural figures, families of martyrs and ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries.

During his time of leadership, Ayatollah Khamenei has validated the presidency of four heads of state in seven presidential terms. 

Rouhani will then attend a parliament session for the final swearing-in ceremony on August 5. 

The ceremony started with speech of Interior Minister Abdolrea Rahmani Fazli.

Hailing the massive turnout on the election, Rahmani Fazli briefed the attendees on the process of elections and statistics achieved. 73.33% of eligible voters took part in 12th presidential election according to him.

Following Rahmani Fazli's speech, Chief of Staff of Iran's Leader Mohammadi Golpayegani is reading out Ayatollah Khamenei's edict endorsing President Rouhani approving his presidency and hoping for success of the new government while safegurding the rights of Iranian nation.

Rouhani, noting the role of Islam and Islamic Revolution, underlined that Constitution has been the first and the most important feature of the Islamic Revolutin  and Islamic Republic is a combination of Islam and Republic, which con not be seperated.

"Current century is time for moderation; we have no choice but to respect law and moderately move foreward," Rohani said.

He continued "the government is trying to preserve people's right and this is possible only via law-obeying culture in the counry."

Rouhani then hailed nation's turnout in the presidential election calling it 'renewing of allegiance with Islamic Revolution'.

Social jusctice and poverty alleviation are among main ideals of the Islamic Establishment, said Rouhani while noting the main axis and achievements of his government, underlining that total reduction of absolute poverty is a major goal for the 12th government.

Another priority is job creation which is a prerequisit for poverty alleviation, Rouhani emphasized; "in this way, we need more investment and access to advanced technologies to creat moe jobs."

"Islamic Establishment never accepts to be isolated in the world; we emphasize constructive interacton with world within framwork of constitution," Rouhani reaffirmed urging all organizations and parties to cooperate in this regard.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution addresses endorsment ceremony of President Rouhani for his second term in the office.

"This session is an important event signaling the beginning of the new period of country's management; it is a symbol of cemocracy in Iran," Ayatollah Khamenei underlined. "Iranian nation had no right to vote before the Islamic Revolution," Leader said hailing Islamic Revolution's role in Iran's progress and the role the nation has played in this regard.

"Iranian officials have succeeded to work with world despite enemy's efforts," Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding that officials must never neglect enemy's efforts against the country.

"They sanctioned Iran; but sanctions made us aware of our potentials and despite all hostilities Islamic republic is more powerful thatn ever," Leader reaffirmed. He continued "we are not afraid of enemy's plots and we know how to deal with them; Revolutinary identity anf diligent work would help the country to move ahead despite all countering measures by enemy."

"Islamic Republic must strongly stand against any hegemonic power; surrenduring to bullying powers brings misery to the nation and is much costlier that standing against them," he warned the officials.

He then urged the new administration to move forward with plan and meet the needs of the nation; "unite the people and be open to critics."

On foreign policies, Leader underlined that "international interaction must not make us neglect enemy's plots as some of foreign states just seek destruction of Iran," he said.
