TEHRAN, Jul. 24 (MNA) – Iran’s para archery outfit secured 11 medals in individual and teams sections of Para-Archery World Ranking Tournament to win the title at the international event in Czech Republic.

Para-Archery World Ranking Tournament 2017 was held in Nove Město nad Metuji, Czech Republic, on July 15 through 24, 2017. Persian archers were awarded with one gold, one silver and three bronzes in the individual division as well as three golds, two silvers and one bronze in team competitions to occupy the top position in the sportive tournament.

Iran was followed by Russia who landed second as well as England who stood on the third podium with eight medals. The host country squad came fifth for having collected only one gold trophy.

Para-Archery World Ranking Tournament had attracted a total of 123 archers from 25 across the globe and convened in Nové Město na Moravě, a town in the Vysočina Region in the central Czech Republic.

The World Ranking Tournament was open to all World Archery team categories including Men/ Women Compound OPEN, Men/mixed teams, Visually Impaired 1(combined) and Visually Impaired 2-3 (combined).
