TEHRAN, Jul. 21 (MNA) – Hamzeh Seyyedoshohada HQ of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) issued a communiqué on Friday recounting an anti-terror operation of the night before in northwestern Iran.

In a heavy attack on the northwestern borderline of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a terrorist attack was foiled by the forces of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) late on Thursday, recounts a statement issued on Friday by the Hamzeh Seyyedoshohada HQ of the IRGC.

According to the same source, 3 of the terrorists were killed, 4 of them were injured, one arrested, and the rest escaped.

An IRGC officer, Major Yasin Ghanbari, was martyred and a comrade of him was injured during the attack.

The communiqué reassures that the Iranian forces, from intelligence ministry, police, army, and IRGC would never allow any mercenary of arrogant powers to impose any threat upon Iran.
