TEHRAN, Jul. 15 (MNA) – Iran’s SNSC head Ali Shamkhani and Alexander Lavrentiev, Russia’s Special Envoy on Syria, will meet in Tehran on Saturday afternoon.

Today afternoon in Tehran, Head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani will receive Alexander Lavrentiev, Russia’s Special Presidential Representative for Syria.

The meeting is expected to discuss stances taken by the governments involved in the Syrian crisis, the ceasefire and reached agreements as well as the latest developments in the fight against terrorist groups.

Lavrentiev, during his joint session with Iran’s Shamkhani, will also reflect on viewpoints of the Russian president on current developments in the region and on the process of talks taking place between Moscow and other active actors in the Syrian crisis.
