TEHRAN, Jul. 04 (MNA) – A joint performance of Italian Ravenna festival with Tehran symphony orchestra entitled 'The Roads of Freindship' will be held on July 6 in Vahdat Hall, Tehran.

“The Roads of Friendship” will be staged on July 6 at Vahdat Hall in Tehran, conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti with an ensemble composed partly by the Cherubini Youth Orchestra and other Italian musicians from different Italian Orchestras and partly by the Tehran Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Shahrzad Ruhani.

The Fondazione Ravenna Manifestazioni, realizes the Ravenna Festival since 1989 and 1997 the project “The Roads of Friendship” with the slogan of ‘peace and  brotherhood’.
Leading on these paths as a cultural ambassador to the world is Riccardo Muti, with the Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus of La Scala, and, most recently, the Cherubini Youth Orchestra. In line with the spirit of brotherhood that animates these concerts, and in the name of the universality of music, these orchestras and choirs have regularly welcomed some local musicians and given life to unforgettable events in such symbolic sites of ancient and contemporary history as, Beirut, Moscow, Yerevan, Istanbul, New York, Cairo, Nairobi, Tokyo etc.  
Regarding this, Iran which is one of the most important countries with ancient civilizations, has been selected to run twentieth "The Road of Friendship" program.

A second performance with the same ensemble will be later held on July 8 in the Italian city of Ravenna.
