Iranian Culture Minister Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, at a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Abulfaz Garayev, reported in opening of Azerbaijan’s Culture Week in Tehran in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.
He pointed to age-old history of friendly relations between the two countries adding “Iran has always held comprehensive and deep ties with the neighboring country of Azerbaijan Republic as evidenced by inking of over 30 cultural documents between the two governments following the Islamic Revolution.”
The official said visits of cultural officials and signing of cooperation agreements between Tehran and Baku have led to increased relations between the two sides; “cultural commonalities between Iran and Azerbaijan can bring about development of sustainable tourism for both parties.”
Referring to benefits of holding cultural weeks, Salehi Amiri added that these events are indications of comprehensive collaborations and communications between Tehran and Baku which bring the two nations together.
Iran’s culture minister further pointed to tourist attractions of the two sides asserting “cultural weeks aim at gaining insight into the two nations since culture plays a significant role in international relations.
