At least 29 people were killed, while almost 50 were injured on Thursday in a car bomb blast, which occurred outside a bank in the southern Afghan city of Lashkargah, the TOLOnews broadcaster reported, citing the health officials.
Earlier in the day, the broadcaster reported that at least 24 people died in the car bomb explosion.
The incident took place at 12 p.m. local time [07:30 GMT]. The group of armed people attacked the office of a New Kabul Bank, located in the Helmand province’s city of Lashkargah. The blast occurred when the military servicemen and civilians arrived at the bank to receive salaries, according to the broadcaster.
