According to IRIB, Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks in an interview with Doha-based Al Jazeera news agency, stressing that issues among countries cannot be settled through exerting pressure, leveling threats and imposing sanctions.
Zarif invited regional countries to seek solution to the existing conflicts through consultation and talks, adding “I believe the message that needs to be delivered to all Persian Gulf states as well as other countries in the world is that there is no longer any room for problems and disputes. The only way to resolve differences is through negotiations and friendly efforts.”
“Any effort for breaking the will of nations has often led to strengthening of their wills,” Zarif stressed.
on June 5, PGCC members Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, announced their decision to sever diplomatic relations with Qatar and install an air, land and sea blockade. High on the list of reasons for breaking ties, Saudi Arabia named Qatar’s friendly ties with Iran and Hamas.
Iran and Turkey have vowed to provide Qatar with required humanitarian aid. Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has also provided Qatar Airways with the license to cross the Iranian airspace.
