TEHRAN, Jun. 08 (MNA) – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held talks with his Kazakh counterpart on Thursday.

Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov condemned Tehran terrorist attacks at the beginning of the meeting expressing sympathy to nation and government of Iran; “we believe Islamic Republic has played a positive role in confronting terrorism and all should unite against this threat.”

Abdrakhmanov, noting the First OIC Summit on Science and Technology due on September in Astana, expressed hope for President Rouhani’s participation.

Zarif and his Kazakh counterpart, then, touched upon the issue of bilateral cooperation calling the level satisfactory, yet calling for further collaboration in banking, Caspian Sea affairs and international cooperations.

Kazakh foreign minister also evaluated Iran’s membership in Shanghai Cooperation Organization as positive and effective in all fields for the entity.

Iran’s Zarif has arrived in Kazakh capital to attend SCO summit and hold bilateral meetings with senior officials, FM spokesman said Thursday.
