TEHRAN, May 23 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari and Turkish Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Sedat Onal held talks on Monday, in line with continuous consultations between the two countries on regional issues.

Jaberi Ansari and Onal discussed the achievements and obstacles in the process of solving the Syrian crisis as well as the issues and tensions in West Asia and North Africa and peaceful ways to solve the problems.

Maintaining national sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries in the region, ensuring the rights of different religions and ethnic groups, political solution to the ongoing crisis and effective combat against terrorism were other issues discussed during the talk between Iran and Turkey.

The two sides underlined the need for regional dialogue to solve existing issues, strengthen Astana talks to solve Syrian crisis and continue bilateral consultations between Iran and Turkey.
