TEHRAN, Apr. 20 (MNA) – Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Parliament's General Director for International Affairs received Asif Durrani, Pakistani Ambassador to Tehran, on Wednesday.

“Military approach toward regional crises is doomed to failure,” said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian during his meeting with Asif Durrani.

Referring to the shared borders of Iran and Pakistan, Amir-Abdollahian hailed the cultural and religious commonalities between the two nations calling them a decent backbone for developing friendly ties between the two countries.

He voiced the readiness of Iran’s parliament to activate bilateral cooperation in all areas and reassured that the Iran-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group is seriously following the case of expansion of ties with Pakistan.

“This attack gave a wrong message to terrorists groups active in Syria and the region, including Afghanistan, and made the terrorist more audacious resulting in the spread of insecurity in the region,” asserted the Iranian diplomat touching upon US missile attack on Syrian air-base.

The diplomat regretted that some countries of the region encourage the US to use force. He said that these behaviors of these countries are in stark contrast with good neighborliness of the countries of the region, and the peace, stability, and welfare of the nations of the region.

The Pakistani envoy, for his part, praised the position of parliamentary relations in bolstering and easing inter-relations and broke the news that the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan will visit Tehran in the near future.

“Unfortunately, the political and security chaos and regional crises secure the interests of the Zionist regime and harm Muslims,” underlined the Pakistani envoy to Tehran. “Muslim countries should closely cooperate to strengthen their scientific and technical capabilities and evading tensions prevent the intervention of the foreigners.”
