TEHRAN, Apr. 12 (MNA) – FM spokesperson said Mohammad Javad Zarif will travel to Moscow to attend a trilateral meeting with his Syrian and Russian counterparts.

Spokesman of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Mr. Zarif was slated to visit Moscow on Friday April 14 to take part at a three-way session with Syria’s Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Muallem as well as Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov.

Talks are expected to revolve around US allegations of a chemical attack in Syria's Idlib province, a claim strongly rejected by Damascus, and the subsequent US missile strike on a Syrian al-Shayrat Airbase.

The attack, which had no consent from UN Security Council or the US Congress, marked US' first ever direct strike on Syrian facilities.
