TEHRAN, Apr. 09 (MNA) – SNSC head Ali Shamkhani in a phone conversation with Syria's national security chief Ali Mamlouk said there is firm resolve for joint cooperation between Iran, Russia and Syria in the fight against terrorism.

During a telephone conversation with Head of the National Security Bureau of the Ba'ath Party of Syria, Ali Mamlouk, on Sunday morning, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council discussed the recent developments in Syria, and deemed the US military aggression in the Arab country a measure in line with bolstering terrorists and a sign of the victory of the Syrian Army in the political and military arena.

Ali Shamkhani highlighted Iran’s support for the nation and government of Syria, and their efforts for establishing comprehensive security across the country and the total eradication of foreign-backed terrorists, adding “once a fact-finding committee is formed to investigate the realities of the situation in Syria, another shameful scandal will be added up to the US record of acts in violation of international security.”

The Iranian senior official further stressed that joint cooperation between Iran, Russia, and Syria will continue, as it has already yielded such positive results as the liberation of Aleppo and the return of Syrian people to a life void of the presence of terrorists.

The Syrian national security chief, for his part, thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its support to Syria, and stressed his country’s continued resistance against terrorist groups and their sponsors.
